The whole world spoke the same language, using the same words.
While the people were migrating in the east,
they came upon a valley in the land of Shinar and settled there…
Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city
and a tower with its top in the sky,
and so make a name for ourselves;
otherwise we shall be scattered all over the earth.”…Then the LORD said: “If now, while they are one people,
all speaking the same language,
they have started to do this,
nothing will later stop them from doing whatever they presume to do.
Let us then go down and there confuse their language,
so that one will not understand what another says.”
Thus the LORD scattered them from there all over the earth,
and they stopped building the city. (Friday’s First Mass Reading)
There are three notable points in this Scripture. One is that “the whole world spoke the same language, using the same words.” The second is that, in their hubris, they thought they could reach the heavens with their tower. The third is that they did this in an attempt to be unified, that is, not scattered. As such, God struck the people in their arrogance by confusing their tongues (“Babel” means noisy confusion).
Today, said the late Pope Benedict XVI, we are living Babel all over again.
But what is Babel? It is the description of a kingdom in which people have concentrated so much power they think they no longer need depend on a God who is far away. They believe they are so powerful they can build their own way to heaven in order to open the gates and put themselves in God’s place. But it’s precisely at this moment that something strange and unusual happens. While they are working to build the tower, they suddenly realise they are working against one another.[1]read how the preparation for Antichrist will be division in These Times of Antichrist While trying to be like God, they run the risk of not even being human – because they’ve lost an essential element of being human: the ability to agree, to understand one another and to work together… Progress and science have given us the power to dominate the forces of nature, to manipulate the elements, to reproduce living things, almost to the point of manufacturing humans themselves. In this situation, praying to God appears outmoded, pointless, because we can build and create whatever we want. In fact, we are living the same experience as Babel in much the same three ways as above. With the advent of the Internet and online translations, we are able to speak “the same language”, as it were. Second, this generation has reached an astonishing point of hubris whereby we have put ourselves in the place of God through so-called “progress and science”[2]cf. The Religion of Scientism in order to manipulate and generate life itself — whether through manufacturing babies, cloning, or attempting to create sentient “artificial intelligence.” Third, all of this so-called progress is being done under the mantle of the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”[3]cf. Isaiah’s Prophecy of Global Communism — a “Great Reset”[4]cf. The Great Reset — in order to unify the nations,[5]cf. The Coming Counterfeit and The False Unity – Part I and Part II many which are also in a state of “migration” and dissolving borders.
The parallels are stunning — as are the warnings allegedly from Heaven:
You are so close to global chaos… and you will regret not having obeyed as at the time of Noah… as during the construction of the Tower of Babel (Gen. 11, 1-8). This generation of “progress” will come to live without that “progress” and will go back to rudimentary living without an economy and without forgetting the death of a great part of humanity. —St. Michael the Archangel to Luz de Maria de Bonilla on October 4th, 2021

of the saints. It wasn’t until she became a “Daughter of Mary” that the nightmares finally ceased at the age of eleven. In the following year, Jesus began to speak interiorly to her especially after receiving Holy Communion. When she was thirteen, He appeared to her in a vision that she witnessed from the balcony of her home. There, in the street below, she saw a crowd and armed soldiers leading three prisoners; she recognized Jesus as one of them. During that period in her life, she suffered no physical illness (until she succumbed to pneumonia at the end) and she never experienced bedsores, despite being confined to her little bed for sixty-four years.
