“Jesus – He who Is” to Valeria Copponi on January 27th, 2021:
My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God. —Our Lady of Fatima to the seers, June 13, 1917
Far from stealing Christ’s thunder, Mary is the lightning that illuminates the Way to Him! 100% devotion to Mary is 100% devotion to Jesus. She does not take away from Christ, but takes you to Him. —Mark Mallett

↑1 | This statement is to be understood in the context of the motherhood of Mary, to whom has been given in these times a special role in the order of grace in “giving birth” to the whole People of God. Neither does this maternal role suggest that you and I, her children, have no role or lack the power of the Holy Spirit in our commission to be “the light of the world.” Rather, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation. . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix… Jesus, the only mediator, is the way of our prayer; Mary, his mother and ours, is wholly transparent to him: she “shows the way” (hodigitria), and is herself “the Sign” of the way”… (CCC, 969, 2674) Pope St. John Paul II adds: “On this universal level, if victory comes it will be brought by Mary. Christ will conquer through her because He wants the Church’s victories now and in the future to be linked to her…” —Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 221 |
